Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle. This role ensures that construction and development projects are delivered within the approved budget and to the highest quality standards while maintaining cost efficiency in civil and MEP aspects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs) and tender documents for new and ongoing projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning during design and development stages.
• Evaluate tender submissions, negotiate with contractors and prepare recommendation reports.
• Perform value engineering to optimise project costs without compromising quality.
• Prepare and review interim payment certificates and variation claims.
• Monitor project cash flow and budget utilisation, highlighting deviations and proposing corrective actions.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors and suppliers for pricing, contract terms and procurement activities.
• Maintain and update cost databases for materials, labour and equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in real‑estate development or construction.
• Strong knowledge of contract management, FIDIC and UAE construction regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel and Cost X or similar QS software.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong financial and commercial acumen.
