Quantity Surveyor – Landscaping & Irrigation

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will support the landscaping and irrigation construction projects by managing costs, preparing payment certificates, and ensuring profitability through accurate costing and valuation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare payment certificates for subcontractors based on value certificates and contract terms.
• Develop Bills of Quantities, variations, monthly valuations, and subcontract orders; certify subcontractor invoices.
• Generate cost reports, obtain approvals from the Construction Manager, and forward to Accounts.
• Prepare detailed specifications and cost estimates for variations, securing client approval.
• Compile final accounts, coordinate with site engineers, and obtain client payment certificates.
• Float, receive, and evaluate subcontractor inquiries; compare quality and price, and appoint subcontractors.
• Provide value engineering, procurement advice, and support during tender procedures.
• Attend internal and external pre‑commencement, progress, and contract review meetings.
• Request bonds, warranties, insurances, and other guarantees as required.
• Detect contract variations, negotiate, and follow up on changes.
• Re‑measure subcontractor work, administer contracts, and handle variations and pricing updates.
• Lead all QS/Costing activities, including design cost estimates, BOQ preparation, tender analysis, and contractor bill certification.
• Perform daily valuations and cost estimates for landscape (hard & soft) fit‑out and civil works.
