Quantity Surveyor – Road & Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management for road and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves both pre‑contract estimation and post‑contract commercial management, ensuring the contractor’s commercial interests are protected throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed cost estimates, quantity take‑offs, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for road works.
• Build unit rates for earthworks, pavement layers, asphalt, drainage and utilities.
• Review tender documents, identify risks and commercial opportunities, and support tender pricing.
• Prepare and submit Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs), monitor site progress, and verify quantities.
• Manage variation orders, conduct rate analysis, and negotiate commercial terms.
• Prepare claims and counter‑claims, manage subcontractor payments and final accounts.
• Maintain cost reports, cash‑flow forecasts and budget tracking.
• Administer contracts in line with FIDIC and liaise with site teams, planners, procurement, consultants and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8–15+ years of Quantity Surveyor experience on road and infrastructure projects, preferably on the contractor side.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs, measurement methods (CESMM preferred) and FIDIC contracts.
• Experience with government/authority projects in the UAE/GCC.
• Ability to work independently and supervise junior QS staff.
