Radar and Telemetry Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Radar and Telemetry Lead to plan, design and manage remote‑sensing solutions that support test activities at our test range and off‑site operations. The role oversees radar, electro‑optical tracking, flight termination and telemetry systems to ensure accurate data capture and continuous improvement of sensing capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with test specialists and clients to define optimal instrumentation for radar, EO trackers and telemetry.
• Design and validate flight‑termination system setups for air tests.
• Produce detailed equipment location plans and sensor coverage maps to guarantee complete data capture.
• Write test procedures and supervise technicians during execution, ensuring real‑time monitoring of radar, EO and telemetry feeds.
• Maintain, calibrate and validate all remote‑sensing equipment in accordance with range documentation.
• Manage data acquisition systems, establish data‑quality standards and develop redundancy plans for system failures.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers and technicians and partner with the Engineering Manager on skill development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in planning and executing test campaigns involving radar, electro‑optical and telemetry systems.
• Strong understanding of remote‑sensing equipment calibration, validation and maintenance.
• Ability to produce clear test procedures and lead multidisciplinary teams during complex test operations.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and awareness of emerging technology trends in remote sensing.
