Radiography Technologist – Ultrasound Imaging

About the role

The Radiography Technologist will perform sonography imaging procedures, analyse images for diagnostic evaluation and support radiologists in a busy hospital environment. The role operates under supervision of senior sonographers or radiologists and ensures high‑quality imaging across a range of clinical areas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all sonography procedures (including Doppler, obstetric/gynecologic and abdominal scans) following departmental protocols.
• Acquire additional images as needed to optimise diagnostic results and forward them to radiologists for reporting.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, report shortages and ensure equipment is clean, calibrated and safely used.
• Record patient data and upload images to the Hospital PACS and Information System.
• Participate in quality improvement, safety and infection‑control activities and document incidents.

Required profile

• BSc in Radiography or accredited diploma; ARDMS registration and current national licence.
• Minimum two years post‑graduate experience in ultrasound within an acute‑care hospital.
• Fluent spoken and written English; Arabic advantageous.
• Ability to work under pressure, self‑motivated and good time‑management.

• Operation of advanced ultrasound equipment and specialist software.
• PACS and Hospital Information System data entry.
• Image quality assessment and documentation.
• Equipment maintenance and safety procedures.
