RandD Testing Engineer

About the role

Vertiv is looking for a RandD Testing Engineer in Dubai. The role covers ensuring test samples, setting up tests, running them and preparing the reports. The position is full-time and involves working in a hot and humid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure OHSMS requirements under ISO 45001, EMS requirements under ISO 14001 and QMS requirements under ISO 9001 in the lab and across the company
• Ensure machine calibration and safety checks in the lab, and manage machine and tool inventory
• Maintain 5S in the test lab, give prompt feedback on deviations and manage manpower and document storage
• Create and update test plans daily, follow up on test samples and conduct tests according to SOPs
• Prepare test reports with care and accuracy

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 3 to 4 years of experience in power electronics product or module testing
• Ability to coordinate with production and product testing of new and existing product lines
• Willingness to work in hot and humid conditions; 10% time travel needed
• No work authorization sponsorship available; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Required skills

• Knowledge of IEC 61439-1 and 6, UL 857 and 60529 standards
• Test plan creation and report preparation
• Familiarity with IEC and UL standards is an advantage
