R&D Specialist – Food Manufacturing

About the role

A leading food manufacturing company is looking for an experienced and innovative R&D Specialist to join its Innovation Center in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and enhancing a wide range of food products, ensuring they meet quality standards, consumer expectations, and production requirements. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in food product development, formulation, and process optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and optimize food products and formulations from concept to industrial production.
• Create, modify, and refine recipes based on quality, functionality, production efficiency, and cost objectives.
• Plan and conduct laboratory, pilot, and production‑scale trials to validate product performance.
• Lead the scale‑up and industrialization of successful product formulations.
• Support continuous product innovation across multiple food categories.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field with proven experience in food R&D or product innovation within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of food formulation, ingredient functionality, and production processes, especially knowledge of ketchup, tomato sauces, mayonnaise, salad dressings, sauces, dips, chocolate spreads, jams, and fruit preparations.
• Ability to manage product development from concept through commercialization, with strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and project‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel periodically to Libya as required.
