Readiness & Continuity Manager – Business Continuity

About the role

Responsible for organization‑wide readiness and business continuity initiatives, providing management and oversight of planning, organizing, educating and training for emergency response capabilities and ensuring effective business continuity management systems are maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage an effective readiness and continuity program, reporting on metrics according to established schedules.
• Lead and coordinate the Readiness and Continuity team work streams and the Readiness and Continuity Committee, sub‑committees and task forces.
• Oversee the Hospital Incident Command System and Incident Command Center, facilitating emergency response activities and decisions.
• Prepare annual performance appraisals for subordinate employees and supervise staff.
• Develop and monitor short‑term and long‑term program budgets and resource forecasts.
• Design and deliver organization‑wide training and education related to readiness and continuity.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, community partners, regulatory authorities and accreditation bodies.

Required profile

• 7‑9 years of progressive experience in readiness or business continuity, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in law, emergency management, occupational health, safety, environment or a related field (or diploma with 7 additional years of experience).
• Preferred experience in a large healthcare facility and a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
