Receiving Officer

About the role

The Receiving Officer is responsible for managing all incoming goods and supplies for the hotel, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all goods and supplies delivered to the hotel are accurately checked in and match purchase orders.
• Inspect incoming items for damage, defects, and compliance with health and safety standards, especially food and perishable goods.
• Complete and file receiving paperwork, including delivery notes, invoices, and goods receipt forms, and update the inventory system.
• Store received goods in appropriate locations, maintain a clean receiving area, and keep inventory records up‑to‑date.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve delivery discrepancies and process returns.
• Participate in stock counts and audits, supporting the Purchasing team in reconciling discrepancies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; training or certification in supply chain, logistics or inventory management is a plus.
• Previous experience as a Receiving Agent, Stock Clerk or similar role, preferably in hospitality or retail.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Physical ability to lift heavy items and work in a demanding environment.
• Good communication skills for interaction with suppliers and internal teams.
