Receptionist

About the role

As the first point of contact at SO/ Ras Al Khaimah, you will welcome guests, manage check‑ins and check‑outs and ensure a smooth, stylish experience that reflects the brand’s bold identity.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests warmly, creating a positive first impression.
• Handle guest check‑in and check‑out processes accurately and efficiently.
• Manage reservations, room assignments and updates using the Property Management System (PMS).
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests and complaints.
• Provide information about hotel facilities, services, promotions and local attractions.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, bell and concierge teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Maintain accurate records of guest information, billing and payments.
• Process cash, credit‑card transactions and POS operations.
• Assist with VIP guests and special requests to enhance satisfaction.
• Uphold professional appearance, grooming and brand service standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene policies at the front desk.
• Promote hotel services, packages and special offers to increase revenue.
• Support the Front Office Supervisor and Manager with reporting, audits and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a receptionist or front‑office agent in luxury hotels or resorts (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest‑focused approach.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional appearance, confident demeanor and alignment with the SO/ brand.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Property Management System (PMS) and reservations procedures.
• Experience with POS operations and cash handling.
