Recreation Attendant – Wet Deck

About the role

The Recreation Attendant – Wet Deck supports guests at W Hotels by organising and supervising leisure activities on the wet deck. You will create a welcoming, safe and enjoyable environment, helping guests make the most of the hotel’s recreation facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Encourage, register and schedule guests for wet‑deck recreation activities.
• Promote a fun, relaxing atmosphere and provide information on available facilities.
• Enforce safety rules and respond to emergencies according to local procedures.
• Identify unsafe participation and alert supervisors.
• Clean, maintain and inspect recreational equipment and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to management.
• Welcome guests, assist individuals with disabilities and ensure professional appearance.
• Answer telephone enquiries with proper etiquette.
• Process payments for equipment rentals, activity fees and retail sales using POS systems.
• Enter and retrieve work‑related information using computers and point‑of‑sale terminals.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk and work for extended periods.
• Physical capacity to lift ≤ 25 lb unaided and > 50 lb with assistance.
• Fine motor skills for handling equipment and tools.
• Clear, professional communication skills.
• Capability to assist guests with disabilities.
• Team‑oriented attitude and adherence to company policies.

Required skills

• Basic computer operation.
• Use of Point of Sale (POS) systems.
