Recreation Supervisor & Fitness Instructor

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Recreation Supervisor and Fitness Instructor to lead the recreation and fitness program at Marriott Al Forsan in Abu Dhabi. The role combines personal training, guest activity coordination and supervision of the recreation team to ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for all guests.

Key responsibilities

• Assess guests’ fitness levels and design personalized exercise programs.
• Provide fitness counseling and demonstrate correct use of equipment.
• Register, schedule and promote recreation activities for hotel guests.
• Monitor equipment condition, request maintenance and keep the recreation area stocked with supplies.
• Enforce facility rules and safety regulations to protect guests and members.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and performance coaching of recreation staff.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions and complete required safety training.
• Process payments for equipment rentals, activity fees and retail sales using POS systems.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality and adherence to company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Less than one year of related experience; no prior supervisory experience required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Any additional fitness equipment certification required by local authorities.

Required skills

• Operation of fitness equipment and ability to demonstrate proper exercise techniques.
• Use of point‑of‑sale (POS) systems for processing payments and rentals.
