Regional Head - Middle East

About the role

Zipline is seeking a Regional Head for the Middle East to build and grow its drone‑delivery business across Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The leader will define market entry, forge government and commercial partnerships, and launch operational networks that deliver essential goods.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and prioritize a regional opportunity portfolio across government, institutional and commercial sectors.
• Establish senior relationships with ministries, health systems, public agencies and private‑sector customers.
• Design viable network and business models that translate Zipline’s platform into locally relevant propositions.
• Lead complex negotiations covering commercial terms, financing, contracts and launch commitments.
• Coordinate with regulators, infrastructure partners and internal teams to create the enabling environment for deployment.
• Drive launch readiness, monitor early performance and scale operations as markets mature.
• Recruit, develop and lead country‑level commercial, partnership and operations teams.
• Own regional business performance, including revenue, unit economics and P&L.

Required profile

• Proven senior business‑development or commercial leadership experience with a track record of originating, structuring and closing complex deals.
• Demonstrated ability to engage senior government stakeholders and navigate public‑sector procurement and policy processes.
• Deep practical knowledge of Middle‑East markets, decision‑making dynamics and cultural nuances.
• Experience managing long, ambiguous negotiations involving multiple stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial, hands‑on approach with willingness to travel extensively across the region.
