Regional Head of Business Banking (Al Ain)

About the role

The Regional Head of Business Banking will lead the SME banking portfolio across Al Ain, driving client acquisition, relationship management and regional growth in line with the bank’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new SME clients and service existing ones while managing costs to meet portfolio KPIs.
• Design and implement a structured, replicable relationship‑management strategy for the region.
• Monitor portfolio performance, manage customer risk profiles and ensure compliance with credit and operational policies.
• Analyse market trends, sales models and competitive activity to inform senior management and adjust the bank’s sales approach.
• Lead and develop the regional team, set individual objectives, manage performance and foster engagement.
• Identify and contribute to organisational change initiatives and projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 9 years experience in Corporate/SME Banking.
• At least 5 years of proven team‑leadership experience.
• Strong asset and liability management, risk awareness and credit understanding.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of the regional SME market.
