Regional Home Furnishing Direction Leader (Retail)

About the role

The Regional Home Furnishing & Interior Design Leader will drive IKEA’s home‑furnishing strategy across the region, adapting global concepts to local markets, enhancing the customer experience and supporting long‑term profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Support the GM Marketing and Communication manager in implementing business and communication plans with interior‑design initiatives that boost sales and profitability.
• Develop and adapt market‑specific interior‑design solutions, create regional guidelines, and ensure consistent brand identity in store range presentations.
• Coach and mentor interior designers in stores, share knowledge, and inspire teams to deliver functional, commercial home‑furnishing solutions.
• Collaborate on store development projects, contribute to commercial planning, and improve current ways of working.

Required profile

• High School credential in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with knowledge of the IKEA concept.
• In‑depth understanding of the Communication & Interior Design department’s responsibilities.
• Proven leadership, strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of customer buying behaviour and decision‑making processes.
• Knowledge of trends influencing home furnishing and retail design.
• Ability to integrate the commercial calendar into communication and interior‑design strategies.
