Regional Security Incident & Investigation Manager

About the role

The Regional Security Office PA‑S‑AP protects people, places and intangible assets across its geographical and organisational scope. The role holder serves as the principal regional governance lead for security incident management and investigations, with a focus on crime‑related matters, working closely with regional stakeholders and central corporate security functions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the principal regional lead for security‑related investigations and governance across the Regional Corporate Security Sub Office, focusing on crime‑related matters.
• Support the Regional Security Manager and heads of sub‑regions in conducting sensitive investigations and cascading governance requirements to BMW locations.
• Ensure investigative activities, documentation and communications comply with legal, regulatory and BMW Corporate Security standards.
• Manage the full incident lifecycle, including capture, triage, root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, risk‑management adjustments, lessons learned and trend analysis.
• Lead training and compliance for the CORSICA NEXT CSIM system and maximise use of Corporate Security Incident Management tools.
• Serve as security country champion with local coordinators and information‑protection delegates.
• Support audit activities, identify improvement measures and assist business functions in audit preparation.
• Cooperate proactively with Group Security investigation specialists, sharing expertise and lessons learned.
• Travel extensively across the region and work outside normal business hours when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in security management, criminal justice, law, risk management, intelligence studies, business administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6‑8 years progressive experience in corporate security, investigations, intelligence, law enforcement, compliance or risk management.
• Ongoing professional development in investigations, incident management, interview techniques and evidence handling.
• Formal investigative training (law enforcement, military, government or corporate) is a strong advantage.
• Professional certifications in investigations, fraud examination, security, crisis management, intelligence analysis or risk management are highly desirable.
• Specialist certifications such as ISO 27001, ISO 31000, ISO 18788, ASIS CPP/PSP, NEBOSH are advantageous.
• Proven experience leading complex investigations into security incidents, fraud, misconduct, theft, workplace violence, corruption and information leakage.
• Demonstrated expertise managing the full incident and investigation lifecycle, including reporting, evidence collection, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience operating across multiple countries with strong understanding of legal, regulatory, privacy and evidence‑handling requirements.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional investigations involving HR, Legal, Compliance, Audit, Information Security and external stakeholders.
