Registered Nurse - Emergency

About the role

Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital, a 200-bed JCI-accredited hospital in the Northern Emirates, is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. The role suits UAE Nationals and offers clinical experience, professional development and a pathway into a nursing career. The nurse works with multidisciplinary teams to support the assessment, stabilization, treatment and recovery of patients with urgent and emergency conditions, in line with DOH regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver emergency nursing care, covering assessment, triage, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs.
• Provide timely, safe interventions based on evidence-based emergency care guidelines and clinical pathways.
• Administer medications and manage emergency equipment efficiently to ensure patient safety.
• Communicate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team, escalating critical cases promptly.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation following organizational policies.
• Educate patients and families about treatment, discharge instructions and preventive health measures.
• Follow quality, safety and infection-control standards to keep the environment positive and safe.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Valid medical license from the Department of Health (DOH) as Registered Nurse, or eligibility to obtain one.
• 2-3 years of experience in an Emergency Department.
• Proven leadership and team lead experience.
• Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
