Registered Nurse - ER

About the role

The Emergency Department at Speciality Hospital Al Ain is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, compassionate care to patients presenting with acute health needs. You will work under the guidance of senior nursing staff while maintaining professional standards in line with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ER, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Speak up about safety concerns and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain up‑to‑date mandatory training and complete competency assessments.
• Support and supervise pre‑registration nurses, new hires, and student nurses as required.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, incident reporting, and audits.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and promote self‑management.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed in the UAE and familiar with the NMC Nurse Competency Matrix.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Ability to work within the limits of competence and take responsibility for actions.
• Willingness to mentor and precept junior staff.

Required skills

• Medical device operation (competent use of approved equipment).
