Registered Nurse I - Women's OPD

About the role

The Registered Nurse I will work in the Women’s Outpatient Department (OPD) of Danat Al Emarat Hospital, providing comprehensive, patient‑centered care to women at all stages of life. The role involves direct patient interaction, collaboration with physicians, and participation in health education and preventive programs.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients’ health status, medical history, and presenting complaints during outpatient visits.
• Assist physicians during gynecological examinations and minor outpatient procedures.
• Prepare patients for consultations, diagnostic tests, and procedures, and maintain accurate nursing documentation.
• Provide health education on women’s health, reproductive health, nutrition, hygiene, and family planning.
• Monitor antenatal clinic patients, counsel expectant mothers, and support post‑natal care including breastfeeding education.
• Administer prescribed medications, vaccinations, and treatments, and collect specimens for laboratory investigations.
• Coordinate referrals, follow‑up appointments, and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain infection‑prevention practices, prepare examination rooms and equipment, and uphold patient confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse qualification appropriate for the United Arab Emirates.
