Registered Nurse

About the role

The Registered Nurse will work within the professional scope of practice, prioritising patient health, wellbeing and safety while assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care needs. The role is based in a primary‑care setting and involves close collaboration with physicians and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and families, and offer emotional support.
• Perform systematic patient assessments, develop nursing diagnoses and create collaborative care plans.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Deliver wound‑care management, basic life support and emergency procedures as required.
• Assist physicians with invasive and non‑invasive procedures such as suturing, incision & drainage, PAP smears and wound dressing.
• Ensure accurate documentation, vital‑sign monitoring and timely escalation of any abnormalities.

Required profile

• Valid licence to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UAE and a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
• Willingness to work across departments, be on‑call when needed and communicate clearly in English.
• Commitment to maintain professional re‑licensure and pursue continuous clinical competency.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ECG performance and interpretation.
• IV cannula insertion and administration of IV therapies.
• Vital‑sign assessment and focused physical examination.
• Suturing, foreign‑body removal, incision & drainage, PAP smear and wound dressing.
• Equipment maintenance and adherence to evidence‑based clinical protocols.
