Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care Unit (LTCU)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Long‑Term Care Unit in Sharjah. The role involves delivering comprehensive, patient‑centered care to adult and pediatric residents in a long‑term care setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor vital signs, recognize and promptly address clinical abnormalities, and escalate when necessary.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products and provide wound‑care management.
• Perform life‑support procedures (BLS, PALS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation) and operate equipment such as cardiac monitors, ventilators and infusion pumps.
• Facilitate safe admissions, transfers, discharges and coordinate patient referrals.
• Educate patients and families on chronic‑condition management and promote health‑promotion strategies.

Required profile

• Valid licence to practice as a Registered Nurse with the UAE health authority.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
• Ability to maintain professional re‑licensure and work on‑call across departments.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation.
• Medication administration (oral, IV, infusion), IV therapy and blood product handling.
• Operation of cardiac monitors, ventilators and infusion pumps.
• Comprehensive patient assessment and wound‑care management.
