Registered Nurse - OBGYN

About the role

Royal Hospital Dubai Investment Park is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Obstetrics and Gynaecology department. The nurse works within the NMC Nursing strategy, supporting safe, compassionate and individualized care, and collaborates with physicians and other health-care specialists in various settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about health conditions, and give advice and emotional support to patients and their families
• Assess patients' needs, implement and monitor their medical plan and treatment
• Perform systematic patient assessments, analyse the data, and determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes
• Create and evaluate patient care plans with the interprofessional team, in collaboration with the patient and their family
• Record vital signs, recognise and escalate abnormalities, and maintain clinical and technical skills
• Use strategies to promote patients' health and a safe environment, and understand diagnostic tests and laboratory examinations
• Perform essential life support such as BLS, PALS, ACLS and neonatal resuscitation
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatment, administer medications and treatments (IV fluids, blood products) and monitor for side effects and reactions
• Provide wound care, assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures, and help with safe admission, transfer and discharge

Required profile

• Valid license to work as a registered nurse in the relevant regulatory health authority, with the required qualifications and experience
• Ability to manage your own professional re-licensure
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support provider card
• Willingness to work across departments when necessary
• Clear spoken and written English; Arabic communication is desirable
