Registered Nurse – PICU (Critical Care)

About the role

The position offers an opportunity to provide specialized nursing care to critically ill infants and pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of Medcare Hospital Sharjah Branch 1. You will work closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and hemodynamic parameters of PICU patients.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency treatments as prescribed.
• Manage ventilated patients, provide respiratory support, and operate advanced equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
• Assist physicians during emergency procedures and critical interventions.
• Maintain accurate patient records, nursing documentation, and adhere to infection‑control and patient‑safety protocols.

Required profile

• Experience in delivering critical care nursing to infants and children in a PICU setting.
• Ability to identify and respond promptly to changes in patients' clinical conditions.
• Strong communication skills to provide emotional support and education to families.
