Registered Nurse - PICU

About the role

Royal Hospital Dubai Investment Park is hiring a Registered Nurse for its PICU unit. The nurse works collaboratively with other team members and upholds the NMC Nursing Strategy to provide safe, outstanding care to patients and their families, in line with the hospital's vision of clinical excellence through compassionate, individualized care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about health conditions, and give advice and emotional support to patients and their families
• Assess patients' needs, implement and monitor their medical plan and treatment, working with physicians and other specialists
• Perform systematic assessments, analyse the data, determine nursing diagnoses and create and evaluate care plans with the interprofessional team
• Record vital signs, recognise and escalate abnormalities, and maintain clinical and technical skills
• Perform essential life support including BLS, PALS, ACLS and neonatal resuscitation
• Administer medications, IV fluids and blood products, and manage wounds
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, assist in procedures, and help with admission, transfer and discharge

Required profile

• Valid license to work as a registered nurse in the relevant regulatory authority, with the required qualifications and experience
• Ability to manage your own professional re-licensure
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support provider card
• Willingness to work across departments when necessary
• Clear spoken and written English; Arabic is desirable

Required skills

• Ability to work in an inter-professional team (desirable)
• Use of the electronic medical record platform for clinical documentation (desirable)
