Registered Nurse - Women Centre OPD

About the role

KCH Healthcare is hiring an Outpatient Department (OPD) Registered Nurse for its Women Centre in Dubai. The nurse provides professional nursing care to patients attending the outpatient facility or clinic, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Record patient histories, perform diagnostic tests, administer medications and develop patient care plans with physicians and colleagues.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, and operate and monitor medical equipment as required.
• Deliver a high standard of evidence-based care and adhere to Dubai Health Authority guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs on an ongoing basis.
• Keep patients and their relatives informed regularly and accurately, in clear and sensitive language.
• Involve patients, caregivers and families in care where appropriate and provide health education.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and respect dignity, privacy, cultural and religious beliefs.
• Share patient information clearly with the multidisciplinary team.
• Work flexibly to maintain safe staffing levels and to meet professional development needs identified in appraisals.
• Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the organization or line manager.

Required profile

• DHA UAE Medical Health Authority license.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or a two-year nursing degree, with registration as a registered nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand or Australia.
• At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or similar setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and flexibility in changing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to manage digital documentation and communication effectively.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
