Relationship Manager – Business Banking (Small Enterprise)

About the role

The Relationship Manager will oversee a portfolio of Small Enterprise (SE) clients, driving both existing relationship growth and acquisition of new customers across branch locations. The role focuses on meeting financial and non‑financial targets by delivering tailored borrowing and non‑borrowing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage existing SE relationships and originate new SE relationships across branch locations.
• Achieve assigned financial and non‑financial objectives by meeting borrowing and non‑borrowing needs of customers.
• Source new‑to‑bank customers, generate leads from walk‑ins and cross‑sell the full range of bank products.
• Take over relationships originated by DS and downgraded by ME team, following defined onboarding procedures.
• Conduct KYC reviews, monitor due‑diligence and AML compliance for the portfolio.
• Perform periodic credit facility reviews, recommend appropriate facilities and identify upgrade/downgrade candidates.
• Maintain portfolio quality through documentation, client visits, stock inspections and market feedback.
• Screen the market for new‑to‑bank opportunities and liaise with internal and external advisors.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of banking sales and relationship‑management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of credit, trade, operations and legal aspects of banking.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Relevant academic qualification such as MBA, CA or equivalent experience.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team.
