Relationship Manager – SME Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager will drive the economic health of UAE SMEs, acquire high‑value clients, and expand the bank’s liability book while ensuring risk and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new‑to‑bank high‑value clients and deepen existing relationships to increase the bank’s liability book and revenue.
• Engage closely with clients to understand their banking needs, cross‑sell and upsell products, and increase the bank’s wallet share.
• Negotiate pricing and structure GM and cash products to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain timely KYC updates and prepare credit applications, analysing financial statements for approval.
• Monitor portfolio risk, recognise early warning signals, and manage credit limits in line with policy.
• Coordinate with product managers and specialists to promote bank products and generate sales leads.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and anti‑money‑laundering standards.
• Track profitability by monitoring MIS reports for FX and trade revenues and optimise limit utilisation.
• Provide accurate, timely information on products and keep customers informed of new offerings.
• Deliver high‑quality customer service and work with processing units to meet service level expectations.

Required profile

• Proven record of driving high‑performance culture and achieving customer and financial targets.
• Strong sales management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to plan, organise and execute results‑driven initiatives.
• Solid business assessment capability, especially for complex, international structures.
• Leadership experience, analytical ability, and a university degree; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
