Reliability Engineer

About the role

ADNOC is seeking a Reliability Engineer to provide technical expertise and support to its operational divisions. The role focuses on improving equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and implementing proactive maintenance strategies across mechanical, electrical and instrumentation assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Asset Performance Management (APM) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) studies to shift maintenance from reactive to proactive.
• Identify and apply appropriate maintenance strategies, using predictive tools and reliability methods to prevent equipment failures.
• Lead and participate in Brown‑field and Green‑field engineering projects to enhance reliability and optimise maintenance costs.
• Provide technical advice for equipment upgrades, refurbishments, and new installations, including equipment selection and redundancy planning.
• Maintain failure factor listings, generate reports, and alert on equipment obsolescence.
• Support operational sites in developing monitoring techniques that reflect real equipment conditions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum six years of experience, with at least four years in a reliability engineering role within the oil and gas industry.
