Reservations Agent

About the role

The Reservations Agent will support the Reservations department of Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort, ensuring smooth processing of guest bookings and contributing to revenue targets. You will work closely with the sales and front‑office teams to deliver a high‑standard, timely reservation experience for all guests.

Key responsibilities

• Process and confirm guest room reservations received via phone, email or fax, sending confirmation letters within two hours.
• Respond to all reservation inquiries within 24 hours in line with company standards.
• Update group bookings, rooming lists, billing instructions and special requests in OPMS.
• Maintain accurate guest and company profiles in the Property Management System (PMS) following MHG data‑entry standards.
• Monitor expected arrivals 1, 3 and 7 days in advance, reconfirming bookings as required.
• Apply the hotel’s credit, cancellation, no‑show and pre‑payment policies to all bookings.
• Drive upselling initiatives and work towards monthly revenue targets.
• Produce daily trace and follow‑up reports and safeguard against double‑bookings or filing errors.
• Stay up‑to‑date with room types, rates, packages, F&B outlets, spa, and other resort facilities.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Customer‑focused attitude with a proactive approach to upselling.
• Good understanding of hotel credit and reservation policies.
• Organised and capable of handling multiple booking requests simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills for phone, email and fax interactions.

Required skills

• Experience with OPMS (Online Property Management System).
• Proficiency in using a Property Management System (PMS) for reservations and guest profiling.
