Residences Public Area Supervisor

About the role

The Residences Public Area Supervisor at St. Regis in Dubai ensures that guest rooms and public areas meet quality standards after cleaning, and supports Housekeeping management and its coordination with other departments. The role also involves supervising staff and handling room status and assignment changes.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and the pool after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritise cleaning and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities and act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry.
• Document and resolve discrepant rooms with the Front Desk, prepare and distribute room assignment changes, and communicate issues to the next shift.
• Complete required paperwork and follow company, safety and security policies, reporting maintenance problems, hazards, accidents or injuries.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining and motivating staff.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist individuals with disabilities and speak clearly and professionally.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Physical ability to move objects up to 55 pounds, handle a housekeeping cart on uneven surfaces, stand or sit for long periods and use computers and POS systems.
