Residences Public Area Supervisor

About the role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is looking for a Residences Public Area Supervisor in its Palm Jumeirah property in Dubai. This is a full-time, non-management position within the Housekeeping & Laundry category, focused on checking the quality of cleaned rooms and public areas and supporting housekeeping management.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and the pool after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritise cleaning and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist housekeeping management with daily activities and act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry.
• Document and resolve discrepant-room issues with the Front Desk, prepare and distribute room assignment changes, and brief the next shift.
• Complete required paperwork and help with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining and coaching staff.
• Follow company and safety/security policies, report maintenance problems and hazards, and complete safety training.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and maintain professional relationships with colleagues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• No license or certification required.

Required skills

• Physical ability to move objects up to 55 pounds, push and pull carts and machinery, and stand or sit for long periods.
• Use of computers and point-of-sale systems and reading small print.
• Ability to perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
