Resident Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Resident Engineer will ensure cost‑effective maintenance and optimal technical performance of Canon hardware products in Abu Dhabi. You will handle firmware upgrades, software updates and provide remote technical support using Canon’s proprietary tools.

Key responsibilities

• Perform first‑line troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis on standalone and connected Canon products.
• Achieve high first‑time‑fix rates while minimizing labor time and parts usage.
• Report labor and parts usage using the CAESAR coding structure.
• Manage stock inventory, rotation and balance return‑to‑fit visits.
• Identify commercial opportunities and relay them to Sales & Marketing via OnSite‑InSight.
• Train super‑users on Canon products, software and printer drivers.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or diploma in electronics, mechanics or software.
• Relevant service‑industry experience and knowledge of health‑and‑safety guidelines.
• Strong fault‑finding ability, good customer communication and commercial insight.
• Current GCC driving licence.
