Resident Engineer

About the role

The Resident Engineer will oversee the construction execution of villa developments and high‑rise building projects in the UAE, ensuring compliance with design specifications, local regulations, quality standards and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day construction activities for villas and high‑rise buildings.
• Ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications and UAE authority regulations.
• Lead site supervision teams, inspectors and discipline engineers.
• Review and approve contractor submissions such as shop drawings, material submittals and method statements.
• Monitor project progress, schedule and quality, and prepare regular progress reports.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and local authorities.
• Conduct site inspections, enforce HSE standards and resolve technical issues.
• Review contractor progress payments, variations and claims.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in consultancy/supervision roles in the UAE.
• Proven experience delivering villa projects and high‑rise building construction.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and authority approvals (DM, DDA, Trakhees, etc.).
• Experience managing the full project lifecycle from design coordination to handover.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or Chartered Engineer are an advantage.
