Resident Engineer

About the role

Khatib & Alami is looking for an experienced Resident Engineer to join its Dubai Infrastructure team. The role involves overseeing the execution, supervision, quality, and progress of major infrastructure and road projects across Dubai, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the supervision of infrastructure and road construction works.
• Ensure construction activities follow approved drawings, specifications, contracts, and project requirements.
• Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and compliance with approved schedules.
• Review contractor submissions, method statements, material approvals, shop drawings, and inspection requests.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, authorities, and other project stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction‑related issues on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain quality standards.
• Support the Project Manager in managing risks, delays, variations, and technical matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years of relevant professional experience in infrastructure and road projects.
• Strong recent experience on Dubai/UAE infrastructure and road projects.
• Previous experience as a Resident Engineer on major infrastructure/road projects.
• Valid Dubai Municipality (DM) approval.
