Residential Supervisor – Academy Boarding Facility

About the role

Al Jazira Football Academy is seeking an Academy Residential Supervisor to oversee the welfare and safety of football players residing in purpose‑built boarding accommodation. The role works in partnership with another supervisor and requires living on‑site, with restrictions on dependents, visitors and pets.

Key responsibilities

• Safeguard the physical and emotional well‑being of players, creating a secure, family‑like environment.
• Develop respectful, individual‑centered relationships with players while maintaining confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, safeguarding regulations and Academy policies, maintaining accurate records.
• Liaise with the Operations Manager and other departments to manage daily operations such as transportation, catering and housekeeping.
• Contribute to educational and non‑football programmes that support player development.
• Provide appropriate levels of freedom and responsibility to foster personal maturity.
• Attend child‑protection training (UAE Wadeema Law) and pursue personal development.
• Support the Safeguarding and Welfare team and perform administrative tasks using digital platforms.

Required profile

• Minimum two years experience working with children or young adults.
• Bachelor’s degree (2:1 or higher) or equivalent.
• Valid First Aid certification.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to handle complex problems under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for young players living away from home.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness and ability to complete required clearance processes.
