Resource Planner

About the role

The Resource Planner will create and maintain the resource schedule for Dubai Metro & Tram, ensuring strict adherence to the Resource Planning Procedure, HR policies, QHSE standards and UAE Labour Law.

Key responsibilities

• Strategically review resource efficiency and compliance with fatigue‑management guidelines.
• Update financial data to record staff availability, overtime and related costs accurately.
• Process and coordinate overtime submissions with the HR department.
• Regularly coordinate with assigned departments and promote a strong QHSE and information‑security culture.
• Create and update operational rosters that meet commercial, safety and performance requirements.
• Monitor roster effectiveness, make adjustments and escalate issues when needed.
• Prepare special‑event, alternate service and emergency rosters.
• Handle staff roster issues and ensure integration of mandatory trainings for shift workers.
• Record and maintain leave data (annual, sick, days‑in‑lieu, claims) in the HR Integrated System.
• Protect electronic and physical information assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in workforce or resource planning, preferably in rail or transport.
• Good understanding of UAE labour regulations and fatigue‑management principles.
• Ability to work closely with HR, QHSE and operational teams.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office – intermediate proficiency.
• Advanced level in Excel.
• Training in workforce resource planning tools.
