Restaurant Assistant General Manager

About the role

A premium, high-volume dining venue in Dubai is looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to support day-to-day operations and overall business performance. Working closely with the General Manager, the successful candidate will lead the team, maintain high service standards, drive operational efficiency and profitability, and ensure an outstanding guest experience. Key responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency and adherence to brand and service standards.
• Drive operational best practices to improve productivity, quality and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, safety and hygiene standards.
• Lead, motivate and develop a diverse team to deliver excellent service.
• Partner with HR and the GM on recruitment, training and performance management.
• Champion the guest experience by anticipating needs and addressing concerns.
• Assist with budget management, P&L oversight and cost control, and analyse financial reports and operational data to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with leadership on business strategy, marketing initiatives and long-term planning.

Required profile

• Proven management experience in a high-end restaurant environment.
• Background in high-volume restaurants and ability to manage and motivate large teams.
• Understanding of hospitality trends, guest preferences and premium dining operations.
• Currently based in Dubai and available for a face-to-face interview.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and a proactive, guest-centric mindset.

Required skills

• Solid financial literacy, including hands-on experience in budgeting, P&L management and performance analysis.
• Leadership, communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
