About the role
The Captain leads the service team for the Italian restaurant at The Ritz‑Carlton Dubai, ensuring seamless dining experiences for guests during all functions and daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate service needs, special dietary requirements, and allergies to chefs and stewards.
- Prepare and present group checks, manage billing and payment processing for functions.
- Set up banquet rooms, restaurants and coffee breaks, ensuring tables, centerpieces, china, glass and silver are clean and correctly arranged.
- Inspect cleanliness and presentation of all service items before use.
- Welcome guests, check satisfaction, and address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift and follow all safety and security policies.
- Lift, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 25 lb and stand or walk for extended periods.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 2 years of relevant restaurant or banquet service experience.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
