About the role

The Restaurant Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at Fairmont Ajman's beachfront restaurant. This full‑time position focuses on delivering a warm, professional welcome, especially for Arabic‑speaking visitors, while ensuring smooth seating and reservation management.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests promptly upon arrival.
• Manage the reservation system: book, confirm, and update reservations.
• Organise seating arrangements to optimise guest flow and service efficiency.
• Communicate wait times and set expectations during busy periods.
• Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and highlight specials.
• Handle guest inquiries, with particular attention to Arabic‑speaking guests.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure tables are ready.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the host stand, lobby, and dining area.
• Collect guest feedback and relay issues to the Restaurant Manager.
• Uphold professional grooming and appearance in line with hotel standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm during peak periods.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and walk guests to tables.

Required skills
