Restaurant Manager / Assistant Manager – Luxury Dining

About the role

The Arts Club Dubai is seeking a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations of its Nikkei‑style restaurant and lounge. The role combines hands‑on service during peak periods with strategic responsibilities such as menu development, inventory control and marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the entire restaurant and lounge operation, ensuring efficient and high‑quality service.
• Plan, update and present food and beverage menus in collaboration with department heads.
• Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Develop and implement the restaurant’s marketing strategy to boost productivity and sales.
• Control costs while preserving service standards to maximise financial performance.
• Create daily and weekly reports including cash‑up, rota, summaries and manager logs.
• Monitor operations, initiate corrective actions and ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
• Supervise the service team, maintaining consistent presentation and service methods.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within luxury hotels or fine‑dining restaurants.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, trends and service standards.
• High organisational and time‑management abilities with flexibility for long shifts.
• Proven team‑management, communication and listening skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work during peak meal periods.
