Retail Planner

About the role

The Retail Planner manages supply and demand planning, sales forecasting and stock replenishment for a network of 6 stores across the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain. The role reports to the Retail Planning Manager and works closely with the store, operations and merchandising teams, while liaising with the Europe HQ Retail Planning and Central Planning teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage inventory levels of permanent stock, intertemporals and central stock, and analyse historical data to spot inventory risks and opportunities
• Oversee replenishment settings and min/max parameters so that the right amounts move from the local distribution centre to stores, and coordinate with logistics and IT for automatic replenishment
• Identify slow-moving and sleeping stock and prepare destocking proposals aligned with group policy
• Monitor BI reports (sales, stock, value equation) and produce regular activity reports and ad hoc analysis by store, category and product
• Forecast demand using historical sales data, market trends and customer preferences, and validate OTB assumptions such as exchange rates, margins, reorders and delivery rates
• Work with merchandisers to keep OTB in line with collection feedback and store ambitions, and consolidate buying against OTB to flag risks and opportunities
• Share best practice with the Europe Planning community and build strong links with stock control teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Economics or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in merchandise planning, allocation or inventory management in a retail environment
• Familiarity with retail math and inventory KPIs
