Revenue Accounting Manager – Software, IFRS 15 & NetSuite

About the role

Canonical is seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager with a passion for systems accounting to lead the revenue recognition function for its software business. The role is home‑based within EMEA time zones and focuses on aligning product pricing, contracts, and sales processes with IFRS 15/ASC 606 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve scalable contract review and revenue recognition processes.
• Drive automation of revenue accounting using NetSuite and related systems.
• Collaborate with product management, legal, FP&A, sales operations and commercial business systems to ensure consistent accounting treatment.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS 15/ASC 606 for public market scrutiny.
• Lead and develop a team focused on revenue accuracy, transparency and reporting speed.

Required profile

• Professionally qualified accounting leader with deep expertise in IFRS 15/ASC 606.
• Experience in systems accounting and working with technical teams.
• Strong interest in the software and technology industry.
• Management experience with confidence in presentation and goal setting.
