Rides Manager

About the role

The Rides Manager is responsible for the long‑term planning, maintenance, and safe operation of all rides and attractions at Yas Water World. This role oversees preventive maintenance programmes, integrates CMMS tools, and ensures compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute long‑term maintenance, shutdowns, overhauls and annual inspections, including Non‑Destructive Testing and third‑party inspections.
• Maintain and improve the Preventative Maintenance programme and manage spare‑part inventory levels.
• Utilise MAXIMO (CMMS) to optimise maintenance practices, track budgets and support procurement of CAPEX and inventory items.
• Lead the on‑the‑job training programme for rides and attractions, ensuring 100 % safety compliance.
• Oversee installation, design review, turnover and refurbishment processes, coordinating with engineering, HSE and technical services teams.

Required profile

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background with AFO or equivalent certification.
• Minimum 7 years of maintenance experience in the theme‑park/amusement‑ride industry; senior‑level experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, leadership and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, specifically MAXIMO.
• Experience in Non‑Destructive Testing and third‑party inspection processes.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and inventory management for rides and attractions.
