Risk Management & Business Continuity Specialist

About the role

The Specialist, Risk Management and Business Continuity (BCM) will lead the development, maintenance and improvement of EDGE Group’s risk and continuity frameworks, ensuring alignment with ISO 31000, ISO 22301 and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and update risk management and BCM policies, procedures and supporting documents.
• Support Business Impact Analyses, maintain BIA reports and documentation.
• Maintain and version‑control Business Continuity Plans, Crisis Management Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans.
• Manage risk and BCM registers, ensuring entries are current, owned and reviewed.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure program compliance and reflect requirements in procedures.
• Monitor implementation of the Risk and BCM Framework for AL TAIF and provide regular reports.
• Plan, conduct and evaluate testing and exercising of continuity plans, driving corrective actions.
• Act as first‑level subject‑matter expert, advising department heads on risk and continuity matters.
• Provide risk inputs to projects and support top‑management decision making.
• Promote continual improvement and a proactive risk‑resilience culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Risk Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management or business continuity, preferably in defence, aerospace or regulated environments.
• Working knowledge of ISO 31000 and ISO 22301 and proven experience developing BIA, BCP, CMP and DRP.
• Understanding of internal audit fundamentals and IIA’s IPPF.
• Strong analytical, drafting and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio).
• Technical writing and documentation control.
• Familiarity with ISO 31000 and ISO 22301 standards.
• Knowledge of internal audit processes (IIA IPPF).
