Risk Manager – Global Risk & Position Strategy

About the role

The Risk Manager will act as the bridge between commercial teams, Risk Management and external market participants, providing regional position and risk visibility across MENA and APAC. The role supports hedging, execution processes and ensures compliance with risk controls and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reliable MENA/APAC position visibility during Dubai and Singapore business hours, monitoring EEX and SGX exposures.
• Assist traders in converting physical risk into well‑supported hedge requests, perform scenario analysis and prepare hedge documentation.
• Coordinate approvals with commercial leadership, US Risk Management and other authorized parties before execution.
• Track hedge requests, approvals, executions, settlements and escalations, and reconcile positions with Finance records.
• Maintain regional procedures, controls, contact lists and business‑continuity processes for derivatives and position management.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in commodity trading, derivatives, risk management or related fields.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate risks, identify commercial concerns and work independently under strict controls.
• Excellent English communication with capability to support Middle East and APAC markets.
• Leadership and coaching skills with a financial and sales focus.

Required skills

• Expertise in derivatives, options, forward curves, margining and hedge effectiveness.
• Advanced Excel; experience with Power BI or ETRM/CTRM systems.
• Familiarity with EEX/SGX commodity exposures, preferably dairy or food ingredients.
