RO & STP Technician – Water Treatment

About the role

The RO & STP Technician will operate and maintain the Reverse Osmosis water‑treatment plant and the Sewage Treatment Plant at Le Méridien Fujairah. The role ensures continuous production of safe drinking water and proper wastewater treatment while complying with health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor RO plant systems, including pumps, filters, valves, dosing units and control panels.
• Perform daily water‑quality testing, record results and adjust chemical dosing as required.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and coordinate repairs of RO equipment to minimise downtime.
• Operate and monitor STP equipment such as aeration systems, blowers, clarifiers, sludge handling and dosing units.
• Maintain wastewater treatment parameters and ensure effluent meets regulatory limits.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on all RO and STP components, replacing membranes, filters, seals, bearings and other consumables.
• Maintain accurate operational and maintenance logs and manage spare‑parts and chemical inventories.
• Follow company safety policies, report hazards and participate in required safety training.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating and maintaining Reverse Osmosis and Sewage Treatment Plant equipment.
• Ability to conduct water‑quality testing and interpret results.
• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations related to water treatment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to keep precise operational records.
