Room Attendant – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking a Room Attendant to join its Housekeeping team. You will ensure guest rooms and adjacent areas are clean, orderly, and meet the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms and bathrooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, restocking amenities, and conducting final inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of furniture, fixtures, minibars, and supply areas, reporting maintenance issues promptly.
• Remove trash and recyclables according to hotel guidelines, keeping all areas tidy and presentable.
• Support team operations through effective shift handovers, collaboration with colleagues, and participation in training initiatives.
• Engage warmly with guests, anticipate their needs, and personalize service to exceed expectations.
• Uphold service standards by delivering thoughtful touches, respecting guest privacy, and resolving issues promptly.

Required profile

• Senior High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational hospitality diploma is a plus.
• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel environment; Middle East experience or pre‑opening background is advantageous.
• Physically capable of demanding tasks, able to stand for long periods, and maintain a professional appearance.
• Clear verbal and written communication in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with housekeeping systems such as Actabl/Alice, Oracle, and IBS.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
