Room Service Order Taker – Full-time

About the role

The Room Service Order Taker ensures guests receive their meals and amenities promptly and accurately. Working in a luxury hotel environment, you will be the link between guests, the kitchen, and service staff, helping to create a memorable stay.

Key responsibilities

• Take guest orders via telephone or in‑person, enter them into the Micros POS system, and communicate details to the service team.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the menu, beverage and wine lists, and upsell additional items.
• Process pre‑ordered meals, handle special requests, and ensure correct preparation and delivery times.
• Track incoming and outgoing orders on floor sheets, balance cash drawers, and close checks at shift end.
• Assist with guest inquiries, complaints, and amenities, and perform side‑work such as tray set‑ups when needed.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and organizational skills; fluent in English.
• Responsible, reliable and able to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team‑oriented with a willingness to support colleagues.
• Previous food & beverage experience is an asset, though not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Micros POS is a plus; training will be provided.
