About the role
The Commis 2 supports the room service production team by preparing and cooking food to the hotel’s high standards, ensuring timely and accurate service for guests.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, store, wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Test and monitor food for proper cooking and quality, and ensure correct portioning and serving.
- Set up and break down work stations, maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, tools and equipment, and verify appliance temperatures.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of related food preparation or kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
Required skills
- Food preparation and cooking according to standardized recipes.
- Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, microwaves and fryers.
