Rooms Controller – Hotel Front Desk

About the role

The Rooms Controller is responsible for managing room assignments, check‑in and check‑out processes, and ensuring guest requests are met at the Four Points by Sheraton on Sheikh Zayed Road. This position supports the front‑desk team by coordinating reservations, handling billing adjustments, and maintaining accurate room status.

Key responsibilities

• Assign rooms according to guest preferences and pre‑register designated guests.
• Prepare key packets, activate room keys, and secure valid payment for check‑in.
• Organise check‑in and pre‑registration procedures for arriving groups and track room changes.
• Confirm reservations, process cancellations, and perform duplicate reservation checks.
• Review out‑of‑order rooms daily and ensure rates match market codes.
• Run daily reports, block rooms when necessary, and identify over‑commitments.
• Communicate status updates to relevant staff and follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than one year of related hospitality experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
